We started Harbor Capital Guard because we got tired of watching businesses — smart ones, well-run ones — get blindsided by exchange rate moves. For 9 years now, we've helped companies in Romania and across Europe actually sleep at night instead of refreshing forex charts every 37 seconds. We're not fancy. No PowerPoint decks, no corporate buzzwords. Just people who know how to protect your money when currencies decide to get weird.

Our Story
Started in 2015 when our founder got hit with a €200,000 currency loss he didn't see coming. After that nightmare, he thought: there's got to be a better way. Turns out most hedging companies were either impossible to work with or charged fees that made you want to cry. So we built something different. Started with 11 clients in Bucharest. Today we're protecting portfolios across 14 countries. Still boutique. Still obsessed with actually understanding our clients' problems instead of just selling them products.

Founder & Chief Strategy Officer
Built Harbor Capital Guard from personal desperation and spite. 18 years in currency markets across three continents. Still trades with the same notebook from 2005 — claims it brings luck. Probably doesn't, but we don't argue with results.
Elena Moraru
Head of Client Operations
Keeps everything running when Andrei's lost in spreadsheets. Former CFO who actually understands your pain points. Can explain currency forwards to anyone without making them zone out. Also makes better coffee than our espresso machine, somehow.
Viktor Ștefan
Senior Risk Analyst
Math person who somehow became human. Catches risks before they become disasters. Has this uncanny ability to spot when a strategy won't work in practice, not just on paper. Makes terrible jokes about volatility at team lunches.
